God’s Bouquet

In the middle of my heartache, the rose still smells the same
In the middle of the hardest times, there’s still the cooling rain
As hard as I try to find despair in all my grief
There’s still the beauty of the sun to bring the night’s relief

The moon, the stars, there clouds, the sky
They’re still all there for me
As long as God still paints my world
There’s still beauty there to see
I’ll put before the Lord this day, the canvas of my heart
And let Him draw what ere’ He will, or course that He may chart

So pain can be but just a while
Or as long as you may choose
I can feel the sun and smell the rose
That’s what I think I’ll do

For there’s so much to do in life, it’s hard to pick a start
So I’ll let God do all the work, it’s Him that guides the heart
The whos, the whats the wheres, the whys
They’re not for me to know

Why one flower’s plucked away and one is left to grow
Of all the flowers in the field, it’s not for me to say
Why some are left for you to smell
And one’s in God’s Bouquet
